Friends and family

One of the things I don't like about going on our adventures is saying goodbye to friends and family knowing that we will not see them for what is now a long time. At the same time it gives us the opportunity of getting together to catch up and see everyone again before we go. This time we have shared some good meals of our favourite foods and wines before heading off. Here are a couple of pictures to prove it.

First we had a lovely long weekend with our eldest, Gavin who flew in from Toronto. Unfortunately our daughter-in-law, Jenn, couldn't come too.

Then there was lunch with Yvonne and Gwynneth, who is on a cruise to the Antarctic.

This was followed by the lovely surprise visit by John and Margaret from Edmonton who had shared our VSO Malawi experience with us.

.....and on our quick trip to Vancouver we managed a meal with the Pyes, friends of Mick's from his University days in Rhodesia, our long time friends the Salomons and their long time Scottish friends and also with a nephew, Simon, and his girlfriend, Zidra and our own two, Craig and Nicola. A great time was had by all playing silly b------s as you see.
