We have our visas but only after waiting patiently for the delayed couriered documents and then making a frantic chase around Vancouver to collect them ourselves. The consulate was very efficient and once there we had them within 3 hours - I was impressed. Then off to get some money exchanged, nice coloured money like ours so at least I will be able to tell one note from the other. Now apart from closing up the house and packing (a major undertaking now given the extreme cold that China is experiencing) we'll be off.
